Where Can I Find...?
Rest rooms, laundry, or ice cream late at night? Here's how to find them.
These are the most common questions visitors ask about Cannon Beach:
Where Is Haystack Rock? - Walk to the west until you are on the beach and you'll see it. The best place to park is in the Municipal Parking lot located at the corner of Hemlock and Gower streets. Parking for both RVs and cars is available, but fills up fast in the summer. Walk west on Gower. In about two blocks you'll be on the beach. Look to your left and you'll see Haystack Rock.
Where are the closest restrooms (downtown)? - There are public restrooms located on Second street across from the Visitor information Center.
Is there a restroom nearby (midtown)? - The public restrooms are located on Hemlock Street next to the American Legion building.
Is there a laundromat here? - Coin operated washers and dryers are available at the RV Resort at Cannon Beach.
Where can I catch the bus? - There are both local buses (Tillamook, Seaside, Astoria) and a bus that goes to Portland twice a day. The bus stop is across the street from the Family Market (in midtown) on S. Hemlock.
It's past 9:00PM, where can I get an ice cream? - Most of the stores close by 6PM. The Mariner Market is open in the evening, and you can purchase pre-packed ice cream there. For an ice cream cone in the evening, try the Coach House located on the grounds of the Christian Conference Center.
Is there a gas station here? - Gas is available at the RV Resort at Cannon Beach, on Elk Creek Road, just off of Sunset Blvd.
Where can I get my car repaired (or towed)? - Gary's Service provides excellent quality work and service. They are located on Hemlock at the north end of downtown.
Where is the Visitor Information Center? - It is located in the Chamber of Commerce building at the corner of Spruce and 2nd street.
Is there a place to park my RV? - Parking for RVs is available in midtown in the Muncipal Parking lot at Hemlock and Gower streets. RV parking is also available downtown at the east end of Second street.
Where can I park overnight (RV parking)? - RV camping is not allowed in the city parking lots. The Sea Ranch and the RV Resort at Cannon Beach rent spaces for RV camping.
Where can I camp (tent camping)? - Camping is not allowed on the beach nor in the public places (parks, parking lots, side streets, etc.) within the city. Wright's for Camping (tent camping only) is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. The Sea Ranch also has tent camping spots available.
