Move To Assurance Is

All About You

What we're about is helping you to become informed about what happens after you die. Yes, you can know what happens. It has been thoroughly documented. It is easy to understand. And there is no mystery. The one who made the rules that govern what happens after you die has made sure it was fully described in a book that we call the Bible.

move to assurance

"It is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment." - Hebrews 9:27

As you can see it is very simple. There is no reincarnation. And while your body may become worm food (as some atheists say), YOU don't. You die once and then there is judgment. Who is the judge?

"Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead." - 2 Timothy 4:1. "Appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead." - Acts 10:42

Jesus Christ is the judge. He is God who knows everything, even your most secret thoughts. Nothing is hidden from God. So He will judge perfectly and correctly. What is the basis for His judging? What criteria does He use to determine what happens to you after you die physically?

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23   The wages of sin is death. - Romans 6:23

Jesus Christ looks at your life, including your thoughts, and if He sees any sin, you must pay the just penalty for that sin. And it's the death penalty. Not physical death, but spiritual death, meaning total separation from God. This brings up a couple of questions. What is sin? And what does it men to be separated from God?

"Sin is lawlessness." - 1 John 3:4 "Whoever rebels against Your commandment and disobeys Your words, whatever You command him, shall be put to death." - Joshua 1:18

A concise definition of sin would be "disobeying God." You were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26). God's laws (the Ten Commandments for example) describe God's character and who YOU should be. When you violate one of His laws -- when you tell a lie, take something that does not belong to you, look with lust (Matthew 5:27-28), or violate any of the other Ten Commandments -- that is sin. And the fact is, we have all sinned. Romans 3:23, quoted above, is true. We all sin and fall short of the standards required of those who are made in the image of God. In other words, we ALL reject God.

That Means Everyone Is Condemned To Hell. What Can We Do?

The answer is that Jesus Christ has already done everything that needs to be done to save you from hell... to save you from total separation from God. But let's answer the second question, what does it mean to be separated from God?

James chapter 1, verse 17 says that all good things come from God. Take a moment to think about what that means. If you are separated from God, you do not have anything that is good. A drink of water when you are thirsty is good. You don't have that drink when you are separated from God (Luke 16:24). Freedom from pain is good. You don't have that when you are separated from God, you'll eternally be in pain. The company of another person is good. You won't have that if you are separated from God. If it is good, you want have it if you are separated from God. That is what we call hell.

What can you do? Nothing. Jesus has done it call. Acts 10:43 says: "Through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins." The first part of Romans 6:23 is quoted above. If we read all of verse 23 we get the answer: "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The answer is Jesus Christ. Repent (turn away from disobeying God) and trust that Jesus Christ has fully paid the penalty for sin (disobeying God) that you've earned. Jesus paid it all on the cross. He died so that you will be not be separated from God. It is His free gift for you. But, as with any other gift, if you reject it, you don't get it. If you reject Jesus... if you reject God... or if you reject the FREE gift of salvation through Jesus Christ... then... you must pay the penalty for your sin yourself.

So we plead with you now. Trust Jesus Christ as your Lord (repent) and as you Savior from the just penalty for your sin. Move away from sin and have full assurance that with Jesus Christ as your Savior you will be with God forever.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9
